Terms of service
Last updated October 19, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Guideline Desk LLC, a Michigan limited liability company, for use of guidelinedesk.com (the "Service").
1. What the Service is
The Service is a drafting tool that helps attorneys and other professionals score the Michigan sentencing guidelines and review related documents. It is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Every score, range and note is a draft. You are responsible for reviewing it against the statutes, the record and current case law before relying on it.
2. Accounts
You must give a working email address and keep access to it secure. One person per account; offices buy one seat per user.
3. Plans, payment and cancellation
- Pro renews monthly or yearly until canceled. A day pass lasts 24 hours from purchase and does not renew.
- Founding-member pricing applies for the first 12 months of a continuous Pro monthly subscription, then the regular price applies.
- Cancel any time from your account. Pro stays active through the period you paid for. Payments are not refunded except where the law requires or we decide otherwise.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply at your next renewal.
4. Fair use
Calculations are unlimited. AI document assessments are limited to 75 per 30 days on Pro and 15 per day pass. Don't resell access, share accounts, scrape the Service, or use it to process documents unrelated to sentencing work.
5. Your documents
- You must have the right to use any document you upload, and you're responsible for protecting your clients' confidences when you do.
- Don't upload LEIN or other CJIS records, or information you're barred from sharing with a service provider.
- We don't store your documents or results, and we don't claim any rights in them. We use them only to provide the Service to you, as described in our privacy policy.
6. Accuracy and changes in the law
We work to keep the Service current with Michigan statutes and published decisions, but the law changes and AI drafts can be wrong. The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any sentencing, plea or case outcome.
8. Ending access
We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
9. Governing law
Michigan law governs these terms. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
10. Changes and contact
We'll email you before material changes take effect. Questions: support@guidelinedesk.com.
